Money spent, two diamond center!

This probably relates to each an every person who have the in-vain thought of having a life Partner, either now or maybe in the future. Each one of us do any possible thing as in, change the way we look, change the way we talk and all the xyz's in us just to impress a person when we get to know what sort of a person they like.

We turn out to be a whole different person just to impress 1 person, even thought inside all we want is to find a person who will accept us for how we are on the inside. Around a thousand number of times our friends and everyone around us tell that "no matter how good we are in the inside, not everyone may really try to know us and love/like us for what we really are".

The very first thing we hear is that, no matter how pure we are at heart the person whom we like of the opposite gender will go through the way we look and the way we behave. We can hide and pretend to be the way they want us to be till a certain point, but one day we get tired of being so fake we end up having a nervous breakdown and speak out that 'the way we used to be all along, is really not the way we are, and if you really do like us for the way we are we tell them that we're done pretending and we want to be loved for how I really am'.

So, being with someone by faking our-self and just being in the illusion that with time they will see what we are and accept us for however we really are. This is possible but out of 100 only 30% of the time. As the person took us for the way we pretended to be, they do not want to be with a person when all they've seen and liked is just a "made up" personality and not the real us.

My question is, why be in such a situation where we have to fake around just to impress one person and in the end knowing they will leave us as we cannot fake around anymore?

No body will be there for us till the end. Its just our-self throughout our lives, why make so many mistakes and cry throughout 50% of our life when we know it is really not what we wanted/needed in the first place?

We've been gifted with just 1 life. From my point of view, why waste so much time on something which we just wanted because we felt it was comforting at just a certain time?

Life is not meant to fake around and cry in the end. Do what you really want to do and be how ever you want to be, because its your LIFE! Go live it! (=

We were much younger than 13 when we first hit the Yes! I am of 13 years or elder while signing up for our first profile. Orkut was the first major happening social media site. But in a leap Facebook took over. In a blink of an eye.. How did it all start? Orkut died. Out of nowhere we got so busy with our lives at that point using Facebook was pinned in our minds.  After a few years it started to feel like it was the end of an era. We stopped looking at scrapbooks and started to give thumbs up to peoples posts. Not to forget a double tap to like on Instagram has still been in trend. People are sick of social media. But its a gateway again. I guess in the starting days we missed finding out who has checked our profile recently like we did on Orkut.
