Who are we to judge?
I have no clue why I am taking up this particular topic to talk about, but what am I gonna lose? So, here's what I want to say..
Anyone and everyone would have come across people, who have the habit of self harming by cutting their wrist, chopping off their hair and more. When a person gets a glance of such a person the first think they say is 'Are you mad'? or 'You're a big time loser'.
When a person has gone through the pain of having to harm themselves, they would not have done it for some sort of joy, there will always be a reason behind it. So, why not talk to them and find out why they do so and what might make them not do such a thing again. Instead, why do we just pop questions which taunt them and make them feel like they're just too stupid to do so.
Self-harming is not a thing a person does to get attention from someone or just for fun!
Why not just make them feel like they're no different from anyone else? Why not make them feel like how a normal human being is suppose to feel?
You see a person being suicidal, stop criticizing. They're humans too!! So, why can't we behave like a real human being who really wants to bring about a change in someone? When they're opening up to you, listen very carefully because, not everyone are ready to express what is going on in their mind.
These people are suffering from the inside already. What would we get by just asking questions over and over again rather than making them feel like they are not different from others? The people who suffer inside and hurt themselves, did they ever judge anyone? I know they don't.
And if at all you come across someone hurting themselves just make them feel like they're not alone.
And if you meet a person with psychiatric problem, just don't say anything that pops into your head the very second you see them doing something out of the usual.
Give your hand, give your support and most of all give them your love. They need it. And that's it for now. And remember each individual are different so don't expect someone you see to be the way you are. And with that I shall end this post.
Keep visiting, and keep reading. Because, 'SILENCE' is the best way to show care without having to hurt with voices.
And off I go. =)
